ELEGIES – III

The Elegies Journey which begun in 2016, at the Bhowanipore Cemetery, followed by the second being at the South Park Cemetery in 2017. Continued at the Jewish Cemetery, which happens to be under the aegis of the Oseh Haised Board (Jewish Burial Board) and Orient Books. The journey had not been without incredible hurdles, but with the blessings of the dead, the poet sailed through despite them all.

The day was again the 11th of November, 2018 being most auspicious a day to remember the dead. An elegiac ceremony par excellence unfolded at the Narkeldanga premises of the Jewish Cemetery, a most historical precinct for the remaining Jews of this city and for that of this city.
